Oscar was the first dog I actually painted and has a playful, cheeky character. He started life being born wild and his mother abandoning him because he could not keep pace with her. When discovered he had been surviving on water extracted from the base of plants and the odd pool he found - he was also covered with over 300 garapatas and was at death´s door.

He was diagnosed with having a life threatening heart condition which necessitated immediate complicated heart surgery. That was in 2003 and, having successfully overcome the operation, he is now an active and happy dog.
